Today I’ll tell you about Necropolis and the people who live there.<\/p>\n
How would the city of the dead look like? A city that is not administered by netherworldy horrors but by people? In the end, it’s people who give the city its shape, and people in Necropolis aren’t your ordinary lot!<\/p>\n
First off, they’re the people of all different cultures and ethnicities; death isn’t concerned with race. To avoid a Tower of Babel scenario, they all communicate in the same language, or rely on the same supernatural translator (I didn\u2019t want to delve on this too much).<\/p>\n
Second, the people who stay in Necropolis either chose to do so, or the afterlife providers refused their admission because of their sins. To clarify, the world of the dead is a transitory place meant to deliver the dead to their afterlives proper\u2014Heaven, Swarga, Vallhala, and some more off-beat options included (more on that later). 95% of the dead are happy to get spirited away and bathe in waterfalls of mead. So, what about those 5% who stayed behind? Some are unsightly types, some are unlucky, and some have something to prove. No matter the case, if they manage to survive in the city’s capitalistic landscape, they’re not to be messed with! Think New Yorkers, but meaner.<\/p>\n
